Abstract
There are unique workplace hazards for employees in the brewery industry. Many unique pieces of equipment may be used for the production, conveyance, and distribution of beer. Some of these can potentially produce elevated noise levels and cause unwanted effects to employees. An assessment of noisy areas should be performed by a safety professional or industrial hygienist to minimize this risk and to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. This article gives some guidelines on how to achieve and implement those goals and industry best practices.
