PS: Hawaiian Shirt Night is a surprise for Hawaiian-Shirted-Soon-To-Be-Past-President Man.

(Yes, he's been told he will not being notified. He has also promised not to look at the meeting notice on the MBAA website as he really does likes surprises. He knows to show up on the 17th with beer.)

We will be working on a tighter schedule than usual so please note the times. They are important!!

Schedule of Events:

2:00 pm - Bus departs Miller Brewing Company (There will be beer on board)
(West parking lot. North side of State Street, just east of 46th Street.)

2:20 pm - Pickup at the Goerkes Corner Park and Ride

4:30 pm - 5:45pm - Hospitality & Tours at New Glarus Brewing Company (More beer)

5:45 - 6:00pm - Get your butts on the bus and arrive (promptly) at the New Glarus Hotel

6:00 - 6:15pm - Grab a New Glarus and/or Minhas beer from the tubs only and grab a seat
(Second warning: No tap beer is available for the evening. Get a tap-pull and it's on your own dime.)

6:15 - 6:45pm - Business meeting and election of officers

6:45 - 7:15pm - Technical Session Presentation:
Speaker: Scott Noll - New Glarus Brewing Company

Topic: "Strategies & Validation of Packing Line(s) Cleanliness"
I think the title is self-explanatory... Randy Thiel thinks the title is sexy - damn sexy - and would turn his head. (Yeah, he came up with it.) But, I definitely know Scott's talk will be very sexy, informative and entertaining because it is important stuff. As the proverb goes: 'Cleanliness is next to...' I'll just stop there.

7:15 - ~9:00pm - Dinner and Lively Conversation

9:15pm - Bus leaves New Glarus Hotel (Snooze or talk too long - you hitch hike.)

11:10pm - Bus arrives Goerkes Corner Park and Ride

11:30pm - Bus arrives MillerCoors Company

Green County Brewery Smack-Down:
Both Randy (New Glarus Brewery) and Kris (Minhas Brewery) have agreed to supply all of the beer at the New Glarus Hotel. These beverages will be available as 'tub' beer and located around our meeting area. Hence the (above) 'NO tap beer available' comment. There will be enough for everyone. Try to sample a bit of everything, even if you have to share, as there will be more voting. (And you thought it was only officer election night. Silly rabbits.) It's not a 'smack-down' if someone doesn't prevail. I don't watch wrestling but know there is always a winner. Anyone remember Vern Gagna? (I do...) Keep in mind the evening's rivalry between the two breweries is strictly for fun and entertainment. But, I do recommend you be honest in your selection - chosen by taste only. Unlike Chicago, you don't get to vote early and often. You can vote early but only once.
