Scope
A robust quality and sensory program is vital to every successful brewery. Sensory evaluations inform a brewer's ingredient selections, as well as evaluation and approval of the final product. While many aspects of setting up a robust quality program may seem intuitive, the experiences of quality and sensory personnel have a lot to teach us. In the second quarter of 2023, the Technical Quarterly (TQ) Focus Issue will examine Quality and Sensory challenges and solutions.
To this end, the editors of Technical Quarterly are calling for papers that describe and discuss challenges and solutions in quality and sensory programs, including original research, reviews, and best practices. Discussions of actual projects and evaluations are welcome, no matter how small. If your brewery had to work it, then likely someone else will benefit from your experience.
We invite you to submit proposals, outlines, and/or drafts of your articles to Focus Issue Guest Editors

John Palmer. Generally, we are looking for articles that are 2,000–5,000 words, although shorter and longer articles are acceptable with quality content. Each submission should include a title, an abstract (summary, max. 100 words), and a short author biography (max. 100 words).
