Recent fatalities involving CO2 in confined spaces have raised concern across broad business communities about their employee’s safety in relation to the gas. Continuing innovations in monitoring now allow for accurate special and personal monitoring. This session will discuss the science of CO2, the technology behind measuring the gas, and the areas that need monitoring.

About the Presenters


Josh Pringle is the Vice President of Business Development and Operations for CO2Meter, Inc. CO2Meter designs and manufactures gas detection and monitoring devices. 
Josh is recognized nationally as an expert in CO2 monitoring and carbon dioxide gas.  He presents more than two dozen times per year on the science of CO2, codes and regulations, and monitoring to a variety of industry experts and organizations wanting to upskill and educate. 
After receiving his B.S. from James Madison University Josh held roles with Costco Wholesale, Reyes Holdings, the Corporate Executive Board, and AOL. Josh also sits on the Board of Directors of the Volusia Manufacturers Association, the Ormond Beach Brownfield Advisory Board, and is the Chairman of the Neighborhood Improvement Advisory Board for the City of Ormond Beach, FL. Josh lives in Ormond Beach, FL to be close to his children, Emma and Evan.  


Melyssia Santiago, the Vice President of Sales at CO2Meter, has been helping CO2Meter reach its potential since 2015.  While driving the sales growth for the organization Melyssia is also committed to team mentoring, the ultimate customer experience, and exceeding sales expectations year over year.  Her dedicated advocacy for CO2 safety in restaurants, breweries, cannabis cultivation and extractions facilities worldwide have earned her a reputation as the constant gas measurement sales professional. A 20-year sales veteran Melyssia credits her success to working for and with exceptional leaders that reinforced the importance of developing individuals and teams to maximize their strengths and skill sets as the foundations for exceptional results. Following through on her early training Melyssia has become a mentor personally and professionally encouraging and supporting others to reach their fullest potential. “Sparky”, as her team and customers know her, brings her enthusiastic, passionate and determined personality to everything. That positive attitude encourages and challenges her team members to dig deep to discover new opportunities as well as provide CO2 based education with every customer interaction. Melyssia lives in Palm Coast, FL to be close to her adult children, Brittany and Ben, and the beach.
