When does safety take a position of importance in your brewery operations? Most craft brewers start out small. And through expansion and growth of product market, find that one day they are no longer a “small business” but in fact, have a significant number of employees to be responsible for. With this direct responsibility comes the burden of compliance and adherence to state and federal workplace regulations. Finally, there’s the aspect of training, having written procedures, and necessary reporting.

  • Is safety a culture or a practice?
  • Is safety an investment or an expense?
  • Are we proactive or reactionary to situations in our brewing operations?
