Abstract
In todays business environment, as breweries optimize their processes to become more efficient and thereby more competitive, utilities become a vital focus area. Efficient utility management means reduction in the usage of water, carbon dioxide, steam, fuel, compressed air, and electricity. Monitoring and controlling utilities can reduce existing annual utility bills by 1520%, resulting in considerable savings and a payback on capital investment in less than 1 year. This paper describes what is possible to achieve in this area in a 2 million-hL brewery.
Keywords: energy, energy savings, utility management

Sntesis
