Abstract
At Fredericia Brewery a NL 640 computer is used for the control of two bottling lines with a rated capacity of 750 bpm. The computer comprises: (1) Information System: On-line acquisition of all production data, evaluation of results and printing of production reports. (2) Supervisory System: On-line compiling of information about operation of each machine and conveyor. Evaluation of statistics and trend analyses of stop frequency and stop duration are used to determine weak spots to aid the preventive maintenance. (3) Servo Control System: Automatic speed control of most machines and conveyors of the lines as a function of the number of bottles on the adjacent upstream and downstream conveyor section.
