Abstract
All types of flow sensing devices for waste water measurements are discussed. Various meters for closed full pipe, partial full conduit, as well as open channel are reviewed, along with evaluation of installation and application requirements. A number of effluent metering problems are reviewed and solved based on actual inquiries and experiences. A summary table of primary sensors and respective ranges and accuracies is presented. Selection of signal transmission, recording, controlling, and/or totalising options is covered.
