Abstract
Dirty bottles, or those containing foreign bodies can be detected after filling and pasteurisation by the dense white foam produced, in contrast to the foam of large clear bubbles formed in clean bottles. Using this method of bottle inspection has been found to reduce the risks of consumer complaints and can provide savings in inspection manpower.
