Abstract
An over-all portrait, with some essential detail, of the filtration to packaging equipment layout at the C. Schmidt & Sons, Inc. brewery in Philadelphia which includes a filtration center, blended beer cellar building incorporating a novel in-flow processing technique, a bottling shop supply manifold serving all filling equipment, and a draught beer manifold supplying the draught packaging center. Primary filtration, the uniform blending of nth and Kraeusen beers in a predetermined ratio, and the accurate proportioning of ingredients are effectively achieved through console control.
