The engineer's role in the brewing industry

Abstract
This paper, based on the author's personal experience, discusses the important role a professional engineer can play in the life of a brewery provided the professional engineer's talents are intelligently .applied. Reviewed are a number of basic philosophies guiding the technical approach to brewery problems. Also reviewed are a number of specific areas in a brewery where the engineer can perform valuable service. These specific areas range from design through production to maintenance and quality control.
