Abstract
This review covers the use of nonconventional methods for obtaining biological stability in the package. There is a brief mention of sterile filtration and the use of preservatives; the main subject matter relating to the use of high frequency energy and radiation. Although use of the latter seems to be precluded by side effects on flavor, the former method using high frequency heating may have some promise.
