The development of quality management at New Zealand Breweries

The development of documentation, process/product management, quality control and training procedures by New Zealand Breweries to meet the standard ISO 9002 is described together with the establishment of a quality improvement project methodology based on the use of statistical techniques to trace correlations which can be used to identify the causes of quality problems, with project team members drawn from the department suffering the problem and the "upstream" departments in which the cause(s) may lie.
