Abstract
The 1967 crop of 6-row malting barley was above average in quality and supplies are ample. Production and quality of 2-row malting barley was reduced due to high temperature and lack of precipitation on non-irrigated land. Production in irrigated areas was satisfactory. Barley is not included in the 1968 Feed Grain program and therefore is not eligible for acreage diversion participation. All barley produced in 1968 is eligible for price support loans with a national average rate of 90 cents per bushel.
