Abstract
An energy management system formed by an energy manager and section heads or supervisors meeting regularly to assess their plant's use of energy is described. Production reports and daily meter readings (electric and fuel) in all areas of the brewery are the basis to determine the energy usage (kilowatt/barrel, therms/barrel, energy cost/barrel) of each department and its optimisation.
