The Federal Environmental Pesticide Control Act and Its Effect on the Food Industry

Abstract
This paper discusses the major provisions of the Pesticide Control Act and their importance as applied especially to the brewing industry. The requirements of the new certification program of pesticide applicators and how they specifically apply to the brewing industry are reviewed. The recent relaxation in the use of residual insecticides in food processing areas is briefly considered, followed by a short discussion of the records required to keep in compliance with the Act.
