Brewery design in the tropics

Brewery design generally, and especially in the tropics, can be expected to show several basic changes in the foreseeable future. These changes will amount to a complete transformation in some cases. Current trends in construction and expansion must be reexamined to determine whether they anticipate accurately the impact of this change. This commentary deals with the increasing importance of bio-engineering, the broadened communication within and around the brewing industry, and the new era of professionalism in consultation.
