Abstract
The functions of the computer must be determined before the interface between it and the process can be designed. The operators and their delegated responsibilities in the computerized process should play an important role in interface discussions. Hardware is available in many descriptions for extracting information and sending orders to the process. The development of operating sub-systems within the brewery may show operating advantages when the control concept is designed.
