Abstract
The value of iodine as a germicidal agent has been known for many years, but only within the past twelve years has iodine been combined with surface active agents to form a completely new group of products called iodophors. The iodophor greatly reduces some of the undesirable properties of elemental iodine and accentuates the desirable properties providing an effective, versatile sanitizer for the brewing industry.
