Webmaster

The Webmaster is responsible for optimizing the District's webpage as a communication tool for the District and MBAA members. They should liaise with all Executive and District leaders so that the latest pertinent information is put up on the District website in a timely and useful manner

Webmaster Details:

  1. To make sure that the site is fresh and current and that old information is either deleted or archived for members to see it if they wish.
    • The webmaster must make a conscious decision on how long any material is to be left on your web page. Keep in mind that web surfers get quickly bored if they see the same information over and over again. This does not mean that if you have a topic like your “districts history” that you have to keep changing it. There will be some things that you want to preserve.
  2. To communicate with the current MBAA Website Chair on new ideas and issues
  3. Update all calendar events via the SharePoint interface.
  4. To ensure that certain items on the MBAA Website and / or the MBAA District webpages are kept current automatically. For example:
    • To advise the District's membership via e-mail of new updates to the webpages
    • This can sometimes be done with the cooperation of the District Secretary
