Karl Ockert Named MBAA Technical Director
MBAA is excited to announce that Karl Ockert, formerly of BridgePort
Brewing Co., has accepted the position of MBAA Technical Director.
Karl will be very involved in the new Beer Certification Program, IBD Diploma offering, and expanding number of Spanish classes
MBAA offers in South America. He also will be assisting the Technical, Education, and Global Emerging Issues Committees in their efforts to grow and improve our organization.
While MBAA is excited about its new direction, the sage advice of retiring
Technical Director Ray Klimovitz will be missed. Thank you, Ray, for your
service to MBAA.
Access to GEI Articles Now Open
The MBAA Global Emerging Issues (GEI) Committee decided during its meeting
at Brewing Summit 2010 to make GEI articles open access. This is in addition
to the abstracts that were previously available. Come and
visit the site regularly, as we have very exciting topics on brewing coming up.
