Online e-Xtras
Electronic enhancements to Technical Quarterly
articles
Consider
adding one or more electronic enhancements (referred to as “e-Xtras”)
to the online version of your Technical Quarterly article.
See below for the options available, and let the editor know of your interest. The e-Xtra
logo will appear on the first page of your article in print, the
online tables of contents listing for your article, and the online
abstract of your article. The logo indicates that additional
materials are provided at the end of the online abstract.

Color
Could your article use more color? Figures
appearing in black and white in the print version may be published
in color online.
FEE: $20 per figure.
SUBMISSION: With your initial submission, indicate to the editor that you wish to publish specific figures in color online.
Include the color print original. Be specific in your cover letter
that your figure is black and white in print, but color online.

Supplemental Materials
Consider enhancing your online article with
additional tables, lists, files, or images. Supplemental materials
must be reviewed by the editor, follow journal style, and be
in a final format that will require no editing or modification by
journal staff. Submission must also include a short description of
the supplemental item. This description will be appended to your
article’s online abstract. Supplemental materials will not be
included in the print or year-end CD-Rom versions of the journal.
FEE: $20 per item.
SUBMISSION: MBAA will accept MS Word and WordPerfect word processing
documents; MS Excel and Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheets; and .jpeg and .gif
image files.

Links to Approved Websites
Your online article can contain links to other sites on the web that are approved by the
editor. These links will be made from your HTML abstract online.
Links to personal web pages are not allowed.
FEE: Up to five links free of charge; additional links, $5 each.
SUBMISSION: Simply submit the requested links with your article for
review. Make sure the URL’s are complete, commencing with “http://”
