District Western New York Meeting

District Western New York met on Thursday November 19th at the Ithaca Brewing Co. The meeting featured a tour of the brewery, followed by a business meeting. Matt Lettki of Canada Malt presented an update on this year’s malt projections, a very timely subject. Mark Marcin of Buhler provided a technical presentation on “Best Practices of Malt Handling/Pneumatic Conveying Focus”, which covered both small and large facilities and was very well received. A great dinner was served at the brewery, complimented by the fine brews of the Ithaca Brewing Co. Many thanks to Jeff O’Neil for the wonderful hospitality provided.

Our new president, Mike Adler, awarded outgoing president Jim Kuhr with a service plaque for his last two years. Officers for 2010-2012 are:
