MBAA District Webmasters - Finding a Local WebmasterISSUE: I need help in finding a local webmasterDiscussionThe key thing is that this is not a hard job. The person does not need special website skills. All he/she needs to do is to send information in the form of a word document to Dawn Vukson-Van Beek (dawnv@scisoc.org). Think of your webmaster as your funnel between your district and Dawn. In fact your webmaster can be your mentor and remind the appropriate people to get report or news articles created. If you want to see what other districts are doing, just go to the MBAA Home page and click on DISTRCT WEBSITES to see examples of what you can do. That includes sending in photos to bring your web pages to life. Dawn takes your word documents etc. Information and converts into website language. Also, you do not have to put the onus on your webmaster to create the bits of news for your site. There should be several people on your own Executive that can write a report or news bulletin. You may even have sub-committees that could / should be writing up news about upcoming events and then reporting after the event is finished. Created by Ian Stanners on March 26, 2009
