Welcome to the
Philadelphia District web site.

There are close to 100 members of District Philadelphia representing twelve brewing companies and seventeen allied industries. We encourage brewers in our region to become active in MBAA through an active schedule of technical and social meetings.

You can hear a Sue Henry’s documentary “Beer Gardening in Northeastern Pennsylvania” which aired on Wilkes-Barre’s WILK AM 980 in October 2007. Her documentary is about brewing in Luzerne and Lackawanna Counties past and present. The program lasts about 45 minutes and contains interviews with Secretary/Membership Chair Rich Wagner; who spent the day driving around with Sue Henry showing her some of the old brewery sites; Leo Orlandini of the Lion brewery takes her on a plant tour and an interview with Al Kogoy who has an outstanding breweriana collection that includes radio ads from the region’s breweries from yesteryear.
