We are going to look at the typical barrier and oxygen scavenger materials used in closures and liners along with some of the pros and cons associated with each material.

We will also look at what we believe is the best way to evaluate their performance, in filled bottles, under commercial conditions. In this way we not only look at the material for its pure barrier properties, but how it stands up to harsh environmental conditions or the physical abuse, just as it must when used with your product.

For years we have looked at carbonation retention in this way. Oxygen ingress is critical to the shelf-life of your product, it should be studied in a similar manner.
