MBAA District Michigan Minutes

A meeting of the MBAA District Michigan was held on Thursday January 8, 2004 at Genesys Conference and Banquet Center Grand Blanc, Michigan. The meeting was called to order by President John Mallet at 2:40 pm. The following people were present for the meeting:

Minutes:
Secretary Marty Rapnicki read the minutes of the September 11, 2003 meeting at Bo's Brewery & Bistro. Accepted by Rex Halfpenny and second by Jan Muuse.

Treasurer Report:
Alex Mull reported that the district has $1823.00 in a checking account and $9085.94 in a CD. The next maturity date is March 29, 2004. Report was accepted by Rex Halfpenny and second by Jan Muuse.

Board of Governors Report:
John Muuse III Reported that Jamie Jurado was on the National Broad. This should help the small brewer. The National Convection is July 27, 2004 in San Diego , CA.

Old Business:
The next meeting is March 25, 2004 at Black Forest Brau Keller in Frankenmuth.
The September 9, 2004 meeting is at Kalamazoo Brewing Co. Galesburg.
Rex Halfpenny reported on the National Convection.

New Business:
Steve Gray and Susan Graydon to look into a curling outing for the district.
Member were ask to update there emails so other district information can be passed on to them.
Pig roast is on June 26, 2004 at Addison Oak Park. Jan Muuse will make and sell tickets in advance. Ticket prices for members and spouse is $15.00 in advance $20.00 at the door, Non- members $20.00 in Advance $25.000 at the door. Eric Briggeman to find us a pig cooker. Marty Rapnicki will be handling the side dishes. Members were reminded to bring beer.
This years scholarship is two for $500.00 to attend the District Ontario Technical Conference.
Members were reminded that dues are due before the end of January.
