MBAA District Michigan Minutes

A meeting of the MBAA District Michigan was held on Thursday September 11, 20032 at Bo's Brewery & Bistro, Pontiac Michigan. The meeting was called to order by President John Mallet at 2:25 pm. The following people were present for the meeting:

Marty Rapnicki, Bill Wamby, Andy Rathaus, George Murphy, Travis Fritts, Sam Sherwood, John Mallet, Scott Isham, Steve Gray, Tom Cleveland, Roland Hernandez, Alex Mull,Susan Graydon, Gary Nichols, Wayne Burns, David Shaw, Dan Rodgers, Eric Briggeman, Chad McDaniels.

Minutes: of the March 27, 2003 meeting at Kalamazoo Brewing Co. in Galesburg were read by Secretary Marty Rapnicki. Accepted by Wayne Burns and second by Roland Hernandez.

Treasurer Report: Chad Mcdaniels reported that the district has $1975.78 in a checking account and $9095.84 in a CD. The next maturity date is March 29, 2004.The summer social made $20.00 Report was accepted by Alex Mull and second by George Murphy.

Board of Governors Report: John Muuse III was not in attendance Steve Gray gave the report in his absences. He encouraged members to attend the National Convection in Milwaukee.

Old Business: Rex Halfpenny won the scholarship for $1000 to the Nation Conference.

New Business: Meeting dates and locations were picked they are:
January 8, 2004 at TBA
March 25, 2004 at Detroit Beer Co. or Rochester Mills BeerCo.
June 26, 2004 Summer Social at Addison Oaks
September 9, 2004 at New Holland Brewing Co. or west side of Michigan

More social events for the district: Feather bowling on November 4, 2003 Susan Graydon gave a explanation of feather bowling. She also challenged District Michigan against Boston Beer Co. She his looking into Curling for February or March.

Alex Mull gave all the vendors that supported the Summer Social a big thank you.

We ordered stainless steel keg mugs (with the MBAA logo) for a thank you for the speakers and are selling them to members for $20.00
