 By now most of you are aware that Dr. Morten Meilgaard passed away suddenly this past April. I must say a few words about Morten. I began working at Stroh's in Detroit in 1982 and had the privilege of working closely with Morten until Stroh's shut down in 1999. I totally agree with what both Karl Siebert and Greg Casey, who wrote about Morten; their comments were published in a recent issue of the
Brewer and Distiller. Karl Siebert wrote that Morten Meilgaard was a truly amazing person:
