Eastern Technical Conference Update |
|
Due to the anticipated number of attendees, the original hotel venue we had selected for the
MBAA Eastern Technical Conference feels that it cannot accommodate our group, so we have moved the hotel accommodations/meeting space to the Holiday Inn Harrisonburg, 1400 East Market Street, Harrisonburg, VA. We are sorry for any inconveniences this may cause.

Western New York Meeting Held |
|
Brewers from all over New York attended the March 18 meeting of
MBAA District Western New York (DWNY) at the FX Matt Brewery in Utica, NY. Jim Kuhr from FX Matt addressed a good mix of craft and regional brewers and allied trade partners. Jim's presentation,
"Back to Basics—Hops," was of universal interest to the group and led to lively discussion afterward. Jim's daughter was also part of a string quartet that performed during dinner.
The next meeting for DWNY will be Wednesday, May 13, at Sackets Harbor Brewing Company.

Spotted on eBay |
|
Check out the circa 1937 “Blackberry” that popped up on eBay recently. I do not think this rolodex was capable of texting or getting the latest sports scores though. This item was a promotional gift to participants at a convention held in Chicago on May 15, 1937. The final bid for this item was $9.60.
