MBAA wants YOUR research at the 2009 Convention taking place October 1–4, in La Quinta, CA. Showcase your findings to the who’s who of the brewing industry. Submit your abstracts by April 16, 2009, to be considered. Remember to review the Call for Papers Guidelines as you are preparing your abstract.

MBAA District Caribbean Convention: Top 10 Reasons to Come to Barbados

Eastern Technical Conference - Speakers Announced

Speakers have been announced for the Eastern Technical Conference taking place April 30-May 2, 2009, at the Holiday Inn, Harrisonburg, VA. A detailed agenda, including session times and available times for tours of the MillerCoors Shenandoah Brewery, will be available next week. We are also contemplating an informal golf outing on Sunday, May 3. If you have questions or are interested in golfing, please contact Walter Heeb at walter.heeb@millercoors.com. District Northern California Annual Technical Session

MBAA District Northern California is pleased to announce its Annual Technical Session for 2009, May 8 at the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company in Chico, CA. Topics include malt supply forecast, hop supply forecast, selection and care of stainless-steel tanks, water conservation, bottle labeling adhesives, and paperboard packaging. The session will also include a roundtable discussion on treatment of new stainless steel in the brewery and a preview and book signing of Grapes vs. Grain and Beer: Tab into the Art & Science of Brewing - 3rd Edition. District Northwest Spring Meeting

The MBAA District Northwest Spring Meeting will be held at the Best Western Hood River Inn, Hood River, OR, May 1–2, and will be hosted by Craft Brewers Alliance. Belgian beers, quality assurance, and important trends in hop and malt supply head up the technical program. Activities include golfing, bike riding, as well as a plethora of recreational options available in Hood River County. Information on the spring meeting can be found on the District Northwest website.
